Marietta Video Productions just finished a great video for a client who works with autistic children. Coby Lund, PhD and his wife Janet Lund, PhD founded Integrated Behavioral Solutions which uses Applied Behavioral Analysis or ABA.
The video looks and feels like a news report. The doctors provide their expert insight and statistics, while the viewer meets a family who experienced the impact of ABA. This approach that was originated by the married, medical team helps prepare parents and provide public awareness of this condition. Marietta Video Productions interviewed a young autistic boy named Chris, who is the product of the treatment and therapy that the Lunds provide.
The approach in this video is one that Donna Davis, President of Marietta Video Productions, really enjoys because not only does it remind her of her days as a news reporter, it is also very compelling. “I look at these types of videos like this. If ABC News were to call and interview my client, that’s the best marketing he could ever get. So, I want my client’s video to look like it could have been a national news report. When a client works to educate the target market – rather than trying to sell to the target market – it is much more effective in building credibility”, said Davis.
The Atlanta based video production company applies those story telling techniques to many of their videos. They do this by conducting interviews and then developing the scripts. The interview style setting has the look of a news report. Many clients also prefer the interview style because they feel more comfortable having a conversation instead of reading a script.
